Fixed or operable Skylights, sometimes referred to as roof windows, are very popular architectural fixtures and can be found in many residential and commercial structures all over the country and the world.
Although seemingly a modern innovation, these fixtures are as old as doors and windows, have actually been used for centuries already (i.e. the oculus, found on top of the Pantheon’s dome in Rome, is actually a form of a skylight). There are many benefits to having a skylight installed in your home or commercial building, some of which are outlined in the following paragraphs.
