Glass manufacturing methods are constantly evolving, and this has brought about the creation of different types of glass used in interior design. These types of glass can be used in the construction of many interior design materials – from hinged doors to tilt windows and more.
•Clear Glass – almost colorless and has a green edge. Depending on the thickness of the glass, it can allow up to 90% of the light to pass through it, allowing enough light to flood and brighten up an indoor space.
•Tinted Glass – constructed by adding a color pigment into the raw materials used in making the glass. The usual color pigments added are bronze, gray, green and blue, although there are now more choices available. These types of glass have heat absorbing properties as well and can reduce solar glare.
