Renowned architects David Walker and Peter Janks are collaborating for a beautiful property at Tivoli Avenue, Rose Bay. They approached L’Officina by Vincenzo to design a unique spiral staircase. Their vision was a challenge – to create a functional staircase with a sculpture integrated into it. Since we are passionate about bringing ideas to life, we gladly took on this challenge.
With the client brief in mind, our in-house architect conceptualised the use of two different materials, American oak and steel. In the middle section of the staircase, the two elements, although contrasting, dance harmoniously. The staircase also has a beautiful bridge made out of glass, oak and steel. This custom-made design by Vincenzo is truly a work of art!
The project is still a work-in-progress, and we can’t wait to share photos of the final design, construction process, and finished product.
